Playoff recap: The 2017 OBA playoffs didn't take place until September 2017 rather than the originally scheduled June. However, commissioner Dover was okay with the timing of things because it allowed his players to enjoy their summers. The playoffs started with a Team Covert win over Miller in a play in game. From there, the Division Finals took place with a Fails win over a Demarco that was more one sided than the score showed, also an easy win for Team King over Team Covert. The First ever OBA finals between Team King and Team Fails was completely dominated by Team Fails and Sean Hopkins.

Week 6 analysis:
Team Watson: Watson started off slow against Team Covert, but picked it up late to get a good win. Jack B and Drew H carried the load with a good showing from Zack V and other players. Watson is a very well balanced team that will rely on their shots and good big man play from Jack B to secure a playoff spot in the tough Eastern Conference.
Team Covert: Covert and friends were close for most of the game and fought hard for most of it. They fell short at the end and are still looking hard for a win after 4 L's to start the season. Team Covert is a competitive squad when everyone is able to attend and decide to play actual defense, but poor drafting may end up haunting them in the end.
Team DeMarco: Using a few clutch shots, Team DeMarco was able to top undefeated Team Fails on Joey D'Amico's half court buzzer-beater. Although they were unable to slow the combo of Sean H and Fails, they were able to grab boards and put up good shots. It was an impressive showing from a DeMarco team without Jake Wilsey and expect them to continue to fight against Team Fails and Team Watson in the competitive Eastern Conference for a playoff spot.
Team Fails: Team Fails was handed its first loss this week after D'Amico's half court buzzer-beater to fall to 3-1. Fails and Sean H had strong showings and were forced to carry the majority of the work with Charlie R not showing up whatsoever (not a surprise). Fails's team is still one of the best teams in the league (shown with its league best 42+ point differential) and expect them to get even better with the acquisition of big man RJ Cleveland.
Team King: After a 0-2 start, King has bounced back strong and had a great showing against Team Miller to get to 2-2. Owen King did not quite have the defensive and offensive showing from last week, but Pat Quinn stepped up and had a 30+ point game. Expect Team King to continue to trend in the right direction and take control of the weak Western Conference.
Team Miller: Colin Moran had 28 points, another great showing, but it wasn't enough to defeat a well-balanced, defensive minded Team King. Team Miller was in it for most of the game, but had trouble stopping Pat Quinn near the end. Expect them to continue to rely heavily on Colin Moran and other core players such as newly acquired Tyler K and Anthony S.
Team Watson: Watson started off slow against Team Covert, but picked it up late to get a good win. Jack B and Drew H carried the load with a good showing from Zack V and other players. Week 4 analysis:
Team Demarco: Started off slow but played really well the second half. Offensively they go as Demarco goes, when he make his shot it seems like everyone else does, not the case this past week
Team Watson: Looked much better than Week 1 thanks to the improved play of guard Drew Hickson, center/forward Jack Batchelor may have had 0 points but was a presence down low with 3 blocks
Team King: Likely the best defensive team in the league(1st in steals, 2nd in rebounds, T1 in blocks) but faced a challenge with leading MVP candidate Sean Hopkins. Offensively they struggled again, this is a layup team, not a shooting one so struggled to get their layups against the downlow duo of Hopkins and Fails. They still took arguably the best team to OT. King is a good 0-2 expect them to bounce back strong with weeks to come and fails off his schedule.
Team Fails: The loss of Hutsell for the season really sets fails back but the play of down low twin towers of Hop and Fails elevated from Week 1 and I expect that to continue, the improved play of Charlie R. was also vital. Although expect him to struggle against Owen Walsh in week 5.
Team Covert: Team Covert is by far the worst team in this league. They play 0 defense, the play of Luke D. and Mike C. is outstanding but with a lack of help and no big man (Hoff was cut after requesting release for not being told about game) expect them to continue to struggle.
Team Miller: Once again Colin Moran showed out but it wasn't saying all that much since it was consistently 4v2 with Coverts lack of defense. Still expect them to continue playing well and staying in the playoff race.
Team Demarco: Started off slow but played really well the second half. Offensively they go as Demarco goes, when he make his shot it seems like everyone else does, not the case this past week

(3/5)- Week 1 analysis:
Team Demarco: They looked strong on all phases of the game, made shots, got boards, played d, and showed lots of chemistry
Team Miller: Looked like a team that will be relying on Colin Moran, however Miller and Mazzotta played pretty well offensively and Cleveland and Walsh played well on the defensive side. I expect that they'll continue to get better every week
Team Fails: Team Fails' defense looked strong with Hopkins and Fails down low, offensively they made shots but did have a good amount of turnovers. However, it was also evident that there was no team chemistry
Team King: Team captain Owen King was the defensive brightspot by getting what seemed like 15 steals. Offensively they scored down low but didn't make many jumpers. I feel as though they too will get better throughout the season
Team Covert: Gotta be honest, they looked really shitty. Lots of missed shots and a lack of defense
Team Watson: Jack Batchelor held down the fort on defense. Offensively great ball movement and made their layups. Plus they didn't even have their starting point guard (Flynn)
